How many drugs are listed in the MedData Services database?

Every drug available on a prescription assistance or drug recovery program is listed in our database. The list of medications is constantly changing, which is reflected immediately in our database, due to the different medications being added or deleted from the different programs.

Aren’t all prescription assistance programs basically the same?

No, each program is different depending on the drug manufacturer which may require different demographic, financial, or medical information. Some manufacturers have drug specific programs that have different qualification requirements from their primary program. These programs can also differ significantly in terms of user friendliness. MedData Services has a high rating on user friendliness based on customer surveys.

How do I determine if a patient is qualified for a prescription assistance program?

Each drug manufacturer has its own criteria, which is contained in our database, but typically it is determined by income level and/or lack of prescription insurance coverage.

How can MedData Services assist me in accessing and/processing claims for qualified patients?

Providing instructions and forms for all of the available programs offered by the pharmaceutical manufacturers. The available forms have been digitalized in the database for review, printing, and/or automatic completion.

Storage of required physician and patient information in our database can be retrieved and used for automatic completion of the available applications. This eliminates the time required to manually fill out the applications and increases the accuracy of the application process.

Applications are printed locally for patient and physician signatures and ready for submission to the manufacturer for enrollment in the program.

Available reports will keep track of the application submissions, and prompts the user when re-application/renewals are required.

Does MedData Services submit applications electronically to the manufacturers?

No. The manufacturers do not currently accept electronically submitted applications. The current process requires original signatures of the physician and in most cases, the original signature of the applicant.

Does MedData Services disclose physician or patient data to any outside parties?

No. MedData Services does not share or disclose any data stored on our server.

Is MedData Services PAP affiliated with any pharmaceutical manufacturer?

No, MedData Services is privately owned.

Is there a limit to the number of users I can have for my account?

There is no limit to the number of authorized users you may have. Your account administrator will have the ability to assign users to your account.

Do I need to have special software installed?

No. MedData Services is an Internet based application service provider and all you will need is access to the Internet.

Do I have to pay for upgrades and updates?

No, all upgrades and updates are included with the monthly fee.
